AI & ML Development Services for Manufacturing
Predictive, vision and forecasting models that run inside your plant software
AI and machine learning development is the work of building models that learn from your data to predict outcomes, detect anomalies, classify images and forecast demand, then deploying them so people and systems can use the results. Zenkins is an Ahmedabad-based AI software development company for manufacturing. We build custom machine learning and computer vision models, connect them to your ERP, MES, IoT and quality systems, and keep them accurate after launch.
- What it is: building and deploying models that predict, detect and forecast from your sensor, process, image and business data.
- What we build: predictive maintenance, computer vision quality inspection, anomaly detection, demand and production forecasting, quality and yield prediction, and MLOps.
- What makes it work in a plant: clean data pipelines, validation with operators, integration into maintenance and quality workflows, and monitoring that catches drift.
- When ML is the right tool: predicting a value or class from structured or sensor data, or interpreting images. For questions over documents, use generative AI.
- How we start: a data assessment and feasibility study with a baseline model, so you know what accuracy is realistic before a full build.

What Is AI and ML Development?
Machine learning models learn patterns from historical data. In manufacturing that data is vibration and temperature readings, process parameters, inspection images, quality results, maintenance logs and demand history. Once trained, a model can estimate when a bearing is likely to fail, flag a part that looks defective, or forecast next month’s material consumption.
The value does not come from the model alone. It comes from the pipeline that feeds it clean data, the validation that proves it works across shifts and product variants, and the integration that puts its output in front of the right person at the right time, such as a maintenance order or a hold on a batch.
Zenkins builds the whole chain: data engineering, modelling, validation, deployment, integration and monitoring. We start with a baseline and a clear success metric. If a simple rule or statistic solves the problem, we will say so.
Predict equipment failure
Move from reacting to anticipating. Models learn normal behaviour from sensor and event data and flag degradation early enough to plan maintenance.
Inspect with cameras
Consistent visual quality checks. Vision models detect surface defects, verify assembly and monitor processes, with confidence thresholds and operator review.
Spot anomalies early
Catch drift before it becomes scrap. Unsupervised and semi-supervised models find unusual process states where labelled failures are rare.
Forecast demand and output
Plan with better numbers. Time-series models forecast demand, material use, scrap and throughput and feed planning in your ERP.
ML vs. LLM: Choosing the right approach
When you need machine learning rather than a language model
| If you want to… | You need |
|---|---|
| Predict when a machine will fail | Machine learning on sensor and maintenance data (this page) |
| Spot defects in images | Computer vision (this page) |
| Forecast demand, scrap or yield | Time-series and tabular models (this page) |
| Ask questions of SOPs and manuals | RAG on Generative AI & LLM Integration |
| Add a copilot or assistant to an application | AI-Powered Software Development |
A predictive model can raise an alert while a language-model assistant explains it and proposes the next step. We build both and connect them.

AI and ML development: frequently asked questions
What is AI and machine learning development?
It is building software and models that learn from data to make predictions, classify inputs, detect anomalies or forecast outcomes, then deploying and maintaining them in real systems.
What data do we need for a machine learning project?
It depends on the use case. Predictive maintenance needs sensor or event history and some record of failures or maintenance actions. Vision needs representative images and a labelling plan. Forecasting needs consistent history. We assess what you have and what is missing before proposing a build.
What if we have very few failure examples?
That is common. Anomaly detection, physics-informed features and careful validation can still help. We tell you what accuracy is realistic and what additional data would improve it.
Can you connect models to our ERP, MES and machines?
Yes. We deploy models behind APIs or at the edge and integrate them with ERP, MES, SCADA, IoT platforms and alerting tools. See API Development & Integration.
How long does an ML project take?
A feasibility study and baseline typically take a few weeks. A production deployment depends on data readiness, integrations and validation requirements, and is usually measured in months.
How do you keep a model accurate after launch?
We monitor input drift and accuracy, retrain on a schedule or trigger, version every model and keep a rollback path.
How do you validate a model before it affects production?
We test on held-out and recent data, across shifts and product variants, review results with operators and run in shadow mode before the model drives decisions.
How do you protect our data?
Role-based access, encryption, and private cloud or on-premise training and serving. Your data is not used to train anyone else’s models.
Is ML or an LLM right for our problem?
Use ML for prediction and perception from structured or sensor data. Use an LLM for language tasks over documents. Many solutions use both. See Generative AI & LLM Integration.
Can models run at the edge without internet?
Yes. Compact models run on gateways or industrial PCs and sync results when connectivity returns.
What does an AI and ML project cost?
Cost depends on data readiness, number of models, integrations and validation scope. We start with a fixed-scope feasibility phase, then provide a proposal for a production build.
